England have rested all-rounder Stuart Broad for the 5-match ODI Series at home against South Africa. Broad will lead England though in the 3-match T20I Series which will follow after the One Dayers. Star batsman Kevin Pietersen hasn’t been named in the squad as the ECB was still not over in its discussions with him.

In a bold move, England Selectors have snubbed their star batsman Kevin Pietersen in the 15-man squad for the ICC World T20 2012! Kevin Pietersen has been in the midst of a controversy since the last few months ever since he had announced retirement from ODI and T20I Cricket but only to take a U-turn.

The English cricket team may not have managed to register a comeback win in the second Test at Headingley, Leeds. However, they did well enough to ensure that they get a chance to draw the series that has been billed as the battle of the two best sides in Test cricket at present.

The Second Test at Headingley ended in a draw as expected but both the teams had to work extremely hard on the final day. It was just a long day at Headingley with play getting extended by nearly one and a half hours from the scheduled close.

England’s Bowling Coach – David Saker has hinted that strike bowlers James Anderson and Stuart Broad could be rested for the Third Investec Test at Edgbaston in Birmingham next week against the West Indies.
